This make no sense to me. Do you know how many of us have upgraded our Gen 1 suspension with Gen 2 used suspension? Gen 2 stock used suspension parts. not very likely, but yes, it is possible, that they could be bent. The chance of used off-road parts being bent or damaged is a lot better than STOCK parts. That was my point. I should have made it clearer.

Yes they are part of the suspension. For more clarification, I would buy my buddies VW dune buggies rear torsion bars and put them into lowered street bugs. I hope that clarifies a bit. I tried answering this the first time while I was in the waiting room at the Doctor's.
