my gen2 didn't have one so I bought an aftermarket one and installed it.

I used my old sway bar bushes as washers and bolted the fan to the A/C condensor

I had to pull the radiator in order to get access from behind.

It now sits flush and after 2000km I did a thorough inspection and found no rubbing or chaffing.

I wired in a relay to get switched from the A/C pump clutch signal - that way it's easy to see when the compressor gets 12v or not as well.

I have a coolant hose insert on the way from fleabay that will serve as coolant loss alarm and temp activation for the fan ( I might add another fan in the shroud that will pull) so I can delete the viscous fan and save on economy - I have a 3 row core that cools very well!
