Ok pretty much the same as my last post in my posting of what a 92 is worth. I changed out the belts and tensioners and before I started it up I found chunk of cast in the oil fill so I pulled the valve cover off and sure enough the lifters are blown to bits. I have no idea what the bottom end is like but I know the head needs replacement. I don't have the money to replace the head so I have to sell the truck as is cause I can't afford to do anything with it. Does anyone know if it is even worth selling or how much I should ask. Extensive parts list which would accompany it but Im done with this truck...All the expensive parts are still good inc the diesel pump, turbo etc. never been crunched so all the panels are in good shape. even has the roof rack that everyone keeps asking about. I am not interested in parting it out because I don't have time and live in a rural area where it would be difficult for me to ship items from. I was thinking or maybe rather hoping that I could get between a grand to 1500 for this thing as is. Any thoughts?? thanks all

Although I may consider that a last resort, I don't really have the means to pull the engine, or the time. I would much prefer to sell this thing as is for maybe about 1500 bucks. I figure at that price the engine may be rebuildable or new on could be purchased for around 3 and this thing is a 4500.00 offroader again. Unfortunately I don't have 3 gs to go order a new motor so I think the first 1500 takes it

Sorry to hear about the blown motor! For $1500, you might even get someone to drive up from the US with a car hauler I would think. Worth way more than that for parts.

Edit: Just read the other thread where you talk about parting it out. You have to sets of wheels for it? Put the winters on stock wheels back on and you'll get good $$ from someone on Kijiji.

Would like to see a closeup of the roofrack, if you'd be willing to sell separately...?

Too bad you gotta let it go. I feel for you man. But it's probably for the best, since you have a new ride, and it's been sitting a bit... Still....

Hey Nigel,

Do you have the bits that would be required to make this a runner again? Sounds like a good deal...I will have to find more room however...

sadly I do not have the engine from my old parts truck anymore, otherwise Sean would have it already.

I have the roof rack still on the truck and it is being a bit stubborn to get off unless I can have another crack at it tonight and get to it, it goes with the truck. I have a guy coming in the morning to have a look. I have had a few calls about it so far. I am going to take pics of it in a few and send them off to an interested party.

I have a few parts for it that I am gonna sell separately or use for the Frontier. I have the bull bar off it and the fog lamps, I have two brand new in the box DOT headlamps that I paid over 300 for and would be willing to let go for about 150 obo to anyone on this site. A few other odds and ends. I am going to use my 33's on my frontier but the steel rock crawler rims wont fit so once they are off they will be up for the first 100 bucks for 4 of them.

I will post what happens tomorrow. It is a sad day for me as I really love this truck....Thanks for all the help and support everyone.
