I have an 89 Raider 3.0 V6 Auto 4WD. I just had the rear main oil seal replaced and trans,transfer case fluid change by a local transmission shop $698. I drove the truck about 40 miles around town and everything was fine. I then drove about 135 miles on vacation and noticed the oil leak had returned. Besides improper installion, what causes the rear mail seal to leak?
