Nice pics john! I sure wish we would have got some pics of Thompson hill. That was a bit brutal. I'm ready for an easy trail after that marathon of crawling, but the experience of that trail is surely worth it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />

In a past life, you were leading conestoga wagons up the Oregon Trail! I wish I had a wooden wagon and a horse to pull it, it would be a good trail rig. Very impressive report.

where is Dusty. it looks like fun
1990 Montero lwb, 3.0 V6, Custom bull bar, Completely stock on everything else. 186,000 miles 2" inch torsion bar lift. Conferr roof rack with homemade gutter mounts.

the dusy ershim trail is about 40 miles east of fresno.
i did it once and i dont think i wanna do it again. that thing is only 33 miles but it beats you up the entire time.
we did it around 2000. a fellow club member did the rubicon a few months later and still says dusy is tougher since it's a non stop rocks. even on a flat sections.
actually, maybe i'll do it again when i can tow it in and like 33" tires or bigger. i ran it with brand new 32" and i had to winch the last portion of thompson...
