Jon I'd be really interested if he's available on weekends.

Justice thanks for that. Haven't lowered it yet either.

Can I assume when you say dual fan fans on your radiator this is a mod you've documented in your build thread? Will def have to check that out...

Nice Justice!

Too bad you were not able to get more pictures!

The Dusy is tough on roof racks! I know that from experience!

Can't wait to do it on Sept!

What I usually do when I'm posting a big post is copy my post to notepad or somewhere else safe before I hit the [Continue] button. Yes, I learned to do that the hard way. Hey, neither the internet nor this site are 100% reliable after all.

Looking forward to seeing your pics!

John, for future reference, all is not lost when you see the expiration message. If you use the back button, it will all still be there. You can then copy and paste your message into a new reply window, and it will work. I've done it lots of times on my longer-winded posts. Ray's solution is obviously safer than mine, but I haven't failed to post this way yet.

Sorry you went through that, though...

What a fantastic trail! Here are a few more pics.

I knew I was in for something when the trail started out with this 40-45 degree climb on a rock shelf.

Hmm, is that a crushed Mitsu center cap lying on the trail there?

I'm still seeing rocks in my sleep.

No, my side mirrors didn't get ripped off by rocks. I finally wised up after hitting one too many trees and took'm off!

On the third day, this storm started building. Later, as we were in the hardest part of the trail, it started raining and hailing. The mountain didn't want us to leave easy!

Finally, we made it to the last campsite.

And the sun sets on our trip to Dusy!

Justice is definitely the guy to go wheeling with. He has this magic box that seems to have every trail repair item imaginable. My truck would still be on that mountain if he didn't just happen to have a propane torch, acid flux paste, and some solder to repair the tank seam on my crappy aftermarket radiator. I'm looking forward to reading blueeyeddevil's opinion on Justice's soldering job.

That's about it for the pics, but not for the adventure. Just after leaving the trail and heading home, I noticed the truck was chirping while turning corners. Turns out the rear ARB was still locked even though the compressor had been off for a day, so I had to drive all the way to SD that way. One more thing to add to the growing list of repairs to complete! But it was worth every ding and scratch! Truly a magnificent trail.

My equipment recommendations after just barely making it through Dusy are: front and rear lockers, crawler gears, winch, 35's, armor, armor, armor, and making sure Justice is there to patch you up and encourage you to make it through! Thanks Justice, you're a great trail leader. In a past life, you were leading conestoga wagons up the Oregon Trail!
