Recently having issues with vehicle dieing in motion or shortly after warm startup. Started to happen after valve cover gaskets replaced.
Since the problem started I have checked alternator and battery, both good. Replaced fuel pump, plugs are good and spark.
Running out of ideas and coming up with no solutions from my searches.

I don't know what the Toyota 3.0 engines are like regarding interference for the valve covers, but I'd suggest going back over your vacuum hoses to make sure they are in the right places. I've had VERY weird things happen with misplaced vacuum lines. I wish I knew to check those before pulling the top end apart because of the symptoms on my old rig...
Did you replace the PCV valve and reconnect the hose when you were "in there?"
Those are relatively easy/free things to check and are where I'd start.

A visual inspection is a must if maintenance has been done, and then something isn't right. I'd bet a vacuum line is either off, pinched, or in the wrong spot. Grab yer flashlight and a mirror.

Thanks for the replies, double checked all vacuum hoses and fuel lines, ive got fuel getting to the motor, it wont start cold anymore, but will start with starting fluid, which makes me wonder if the injectors are malfunctioning.
Any troubleshooting ideas for an electrical issue?

Maybe a bad circuit opening relay cutting the fuel pump out?

please tell me more about this relay <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />....
I bypassed the Open Circuit Relay so the fuel pump comes on with the ignition, still doesnt start, it will start and putter out almost right away as if flooded.
Swapped on a spare fuel pressure regulator this morning and a spare MAF.

Replaced upper intake plenum gasket and throttle body gasket, put it all together, ran fine until I drover about 80', died and wont start, still thinking has something to do with the temp. of the motor, problem....
Engine Coolant Temp sensor on this rig has a 15mm diameter thread vs. those offered as a replacement with an 8mm thread. Anyone see a reason for this?

I know you said you checked vacuum hoses, but I would check again. Could be a crack that you diddnt see. The intake hose is notorious for cracking, especially at the bottom where you cant see. Take all the intake hoses off and look them over real good. Get a propane torch or a can of starting fluid and spray over all the intake hoses and vacuum lines and see if the idle changes.
