Leaky valve covers....shes says it shifts funny when AC is on. I just found this out because she wore rear drum down to the metal (this should show her resp. level). The light is just a reminder to have the vehicle tuned up and not an indicator of any actual problems.

But to answer your question about how to check the codes... please check the FAQ thread at the top of the forum for a link to the procedure.
