I'm still here too. Guess that everyone that wants to modify their sporty has.
A few of the guys here are also involved with other forums. Those forums are more into just fixing common problems and not modifying sportages. I still have a link to this page on my web site, but guess that isn't helping either. Well, hope it improves.

Still here as well. Have not been able to finish the lift yet, so not much to say. Had to replace the front cat and just took out the second one. Runs better than it ever has I think.

I still visit the site every day. The Sportage has been replaced with a 2009 Kia Sorento 4x4, not a lot of talk here about the sorento.

I dont even have a sporty yet but i still pop in every few months, Even more once i DO get one and start with the lift and 2.3 stroker turbo build etc etc etc would be a shame to see all interest in these classics die off! My cousin is still thinking about getting one as his "Toy" 4x4 even tho it will do better than his "real" 4x4 off road

Seriously where IS everyone? lol. I'm working on a friends sportage. They bought it, owned for 6mo's and lost the timing keyway. somehow got loose.. they got screwed so i'm trying to do this for em non profit. They're not a sportage enthusiast.. yet. the husband mumbles 'Killed In Action' and the wife feels bad cause she bought it and the husband said, I told ya so.. I'm tellin her he's wrong and they're great little rigs.. I wanna prove him wrong like kia did to me. So that's what i've been up to.. Heck, maybe I'll convert them to enthusiasts.. . Oh on a side note, As i'm towing her sportage away from her street to take to my place, some kids (like 12-14yrs old) riding by on their bicycles check out the scene and hollers, "dude! that thing is BAD ASS!!". I'm all like, "YA MAN THANKS!!.. oh uh, watch your mouth, kid!" lol.. good times. made my frick'n day!

I knew I could get some (Kia) action, glad to see you all still here. I have been working on a 95 Montero that one of my wifes friends run low on oil, A lot more damage than I thought. Check out the pics on the last post ( http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showflat.p...rt=3&vc=1). I am looking for a good used engine for it and learning a lot about Montero's. I wish there was more Sorento stuff here, I would love to get a hold of one and build it up like my Sporty only better with more power. I drove one when they first came and was real impressed, it would run cirlcles around the ZR2 Blazer my wife was driving at the time. Anyway lets keep this site alive and have fun with your Sporties.
