I've been with USAA for a long time, 41 years, and haven't yet had a complaint. We've filed a couple times with them, and never a problem.

Several times my wife has gone to AAA for a quote, just for comparison. As soon as she mentions that we're with USAA they throw in the towel and say, "Stay there, we can't compete with them on price."

My last claim with USAA was last Thanksgiving, when I totaled my daughter's '92 Camry. My daughter was not pleased. I was hit by a young girl on I880 after she bounced off the center divide. CHP assigned 100% of the blame on the young girl. USAA paid on the policy as soon as my daughter said "yes, total it", and reimbursed the deductible after dealing with the other company, a "brand X" fly-by-night outfit I've never heard of. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> My daughter also has USAA.
