I'm having the same problem..they show the 'stop switch' in the manual but it's just a plug. What is it's purpose? Just a connector? There's no mention of troubleshooting for this problem in the manual. Bulbs and everything is fine, brakes light up when headlights are on..

AllData shows that 2 wires are involved at the stop light switch. One is "0.85-GR", while the second is "0.85-G". I don't know what the "0.85" stands for (anyone?), but the first is GREEN with a RED tracer (and comes from power), while the second wire is solid GREEN (and goes to the hazard switch).

The two wires enter one of two kinds of plug at the stop light switch: The first is a 2 prong female, with the GREEN wire on the tab side, while the second is a 4 prong female with the GREEN/RED on the tab side, and the GREEN diagonally below it. The other two prongs are unused (perhaps a trailer option?).

Since the stop switch feeds the hazard switch, and the hazard feeds the turn signals (so the 3 can work together in a way that I don't get), could the turn signal switch be the culprit?
