It would if i had a cabin in the woods Already on its second distributor with the same results. What are the chances that two in a row are bad? so frustrated.

21 year old electronics, could be any number of other things as well: wire loom, corroded connectors, and the like.

Already on its second distributor with the same results. New, reman or used?
Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

the one i put in was a remanufactured - not sure what the smog guy put in. A local guy is has one that he is willing to give to me- so I'm gonna try to get that this weekend- for one last try.
The system is not that complex so that is one thing that frustrates me so much- it is some small stupid thing- but having replaced so much you would think it would fix it.
The hesitation/miss is constant. happens at idle and might go away for a bit while driving around town, but get any load on it and it drives like it is not firing on one cylinder (which it is exactly what it is doing!)

About a year and a half ago I went and looked at a cherry 91 LS. The owner said it had a blown head gasket. After about two hours of fooling around with various things, Fasteddy poured some gas in the intake and it fired right up. I payed the man 400 bucks and drove off. The battery was toast and was replaced on the ride home. I then decided to remove each spark plug wire to see which cylinder was dead. It turned out that one of the wires wasnt fully seated. The lesson of this story is that something very small is being missed. Id be willing to buy that rig just from the photos you posted and drive it back to Georgia and fix it. Dont send the rig the the junkyard. Give someone else that doesnt live in that insane state a chance to take it off your hands and fix it up. John

Agreed...that car is far too clean to be in a junkyard. Sell it for $1k to anyone willing to fix it up, assuming you are really done trying.

Dude, whatever...the parts could have lived on elsewhere. Most of the vehicle is now lost to the Montero community.
