Ok Sup, I went and purchased a MOPAR thermostat. You are correct, it does have the little vent with the ball in it. That little ball is well worth the 5 or 6 bucks extra it cost over the parts house one.
They wanted $240 for a fan clutch??? So I will take the $40. one with me and install the thermostat first. If the thing performs as I think it should I will take the $40 one back and be happy with the thermostat.. Which I do think is the problem anyway.
I have been told that the fan clutch I purchased is loud and unbearable to the ear.. No experience with it but that is what I've heard.
Anyone have experience with the Murray fan clutch?
