I know this is an oddball question, but bear with me.
Does anybody know if the R/P gears from the truck drop-out 8" differentials also match the dimensions of the Supra/Cressida 8" IRS differential?
I know the carriers are the same, due to the supra-LSD swap.
Which makes me hopeful, the ring must at least be close. But given the different style of teh housing, I could also easily see the pinion shank, the gear size, or lash etc being different.

In short - could you fit say "truck" 4.88s into a Supra IRS?
