Just an Update:

Well, i finally got time to take some pictures of my Starion Motor back from the machine shop. I decided since I was going to go through with the motor swap, I might as well do it right. So, here is the work I had done:

The block has been boiled, magnafluxed, honed and checked for alignment in the mains

The crank has been ground and checked for balance

The pistons have been cleaned and readied for new rings with new pins installed

The Rods have been checked for balance and reconditioned

New freeze plugs installed

New rod/main bearings for use with the new grind on the crankshaft

Now the fun starts. Finding everyhting I need to get this block back together and installed. I'm in no particular hurry, so I'm just going to take my time and make sure it's done right. I'm waiting to find a Starion/Conquest at the local pick n pull to get most of the engine parts I'll need (intake/exhaust manifolds, connectors, wiring harnesses, ECU, and all that other fun stuff. But, so far, I'm excited to breathe some new life into th Montero.

Where you storing this at? Reason I ask is the surface rust on it already. If it's gonna be a while Cosmoline or some other metal cover would be a good idea! You have a good support group out there of like minded guys.
