Probably OK like that, may have been bent to adjust it or perhaps from the spare tire sliding forward into the rod. Should not have much affect on the length.


Unless I'm mistaken, I'm pretty sure they're all bent like that specifically to clear the spare tire. I don't think the spare banging around would have put such an even bend in it, anyway.
