Most burglaries are happening during the day. Knock on the door, no answer and they go for it.

Some local punk just tried that with Tuesday afternoon. He knocked twice (I never answer), he figured nobody was home, then promptly started peaking into my car. I caught it all on my security cameras. Chased him down, he said he thought it was some old lady's house.

On a similar note, a local good samaritan was killed trying to stop some punks breaking into cars:
