You don't have to worry about the Jag being stolen. It will break before they get far with it...

Ouch ... That's just cold.

On a serious note, the location of a house is a very good predictor of how much of a target it is. If your house is secluded or has an obscured view that makes a crook feel safer, your a lot more likely to get hit.

Won't need a GPS to locate it either, just follow the oil trail...

anybody got a link to the original pic/background?

Most burglaries are happening during the day. Knock on the door, no answer and they go for it.

Kevin

Some local punk just tried that with Tuesday afternoon. He knocked twice (I never answer), he figured nobody was home, then promptly started peaking into my car. I caught it all on my security cameras. Chased him down, he said he thought it was some old lady's house.

On a similar note, a local good samaritan was killed trying to stop some punks breaking into cars:

And if you listen real close you can hear the skritch skritch skritch of the tires and the rattle of the spokes on the potato chip wire wheels...

Dang you know these cars don't you? I'm sitting on the original Dunlop front laced wheels. I have robbed the spare of a few spokes already. When this economy turns for the better I'll get wider center laced Daytons for her. A little more tire in the wheel wells changes the looks from elegant to mean.

I have a lot of work to do to tidy this thing up but it isn't as bad as you think. The quirks don't irritate me too much because we are dealing with an antique and if I wanted a sterile performer I'd get an Evolution or something. Honestly though where is the fun in not having to watch gauges like a hawk during your entire drive. The smell of leather, gasoline and oil wafting through the cockpit and the feel of every bump in the road are pleasures you just don't get in newer cars.

Classic British motoring!......The sounds, the smells, the feel...just bring a spare.

Just thinking back to my TR3B gives me the shivers. It started the day I bought it, driving it home from the car lot, and the hood blew off. Then the electric part of the electric overdrive quit, and you had to use a piece of wire to yank up the little lever that the solenoid used to pull up. And wrap the wire around a knob on the dash to hold it in OD.
