The idea was pondered, but since there is an angle to the seat backs, when you put the 2nd row against the 3rd row it wastes a lot of space, and eliminates a lot of leg room. As is, there's still room for a high-lift and toolbox behind the 3rd row. Also, I'm 6' and still rode back there comfortably.
