Why do those look like the Chinese clones? Not saying the quality isn't as good but does it have any branding on it?

I am interested in a pair as well.
If anyone looks at the packaging on many of the parts we get from the dealer you will see that Mitsubishi is manufacturing in China. has been for years.
As PLH stated, that Gen 2 is only two years old.
It would be interesting to see about a source for parts in Hong Kong to take advantage to the inexpensive shipping from there.

Cheers, Charlie

These are OEM ChengFeng Mitsubishi. So - yes made in China, not Japan. They are packaged in Chengfeng boxes. Clones? for sure there are various degrees of copycats in China. I have been frequently traveling there since 2004 and lived there working as the Quality Manager in one of our automotive components manufacturing facilities in Fuzhou for 6 months in 2008 - I'm not an expert on Chinese copies, but do know quite a bit. My co-worker (native Chinese guy) on that side of the pond is also an automotive engineer (mechanical in manufacturing) like me. He is purchasing these through a contact at SOUEAST Motors China Mitsubishi manufacturing company.

I changed the title to OEM Mitsubishi instead of AISIN to avoid confusion.

Well, I guess to be politically correct <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />. No matter, OEM new has to be an improvement on my 23 year old auto hubs. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Do you have an OEM part number for the pump?
