Fox News has it live also...

Interesting commentary accompanying the effort. I wonder about the reaction when the wife and mistress meet their shared interest....

Overall, a very historic and noteworthy event...

The miners were given a choice of 3 family members they wished to have present when they stepped out of the rescue capsule, so we'll see.

Yeah. Just a small issue down in Chile where some miners were trapped sometime in July. Originally, they were not expected to be out until December. Then is was moved up to November; then now...

Interesting dynamics is that one of the trapped miners was married and had a mistress on the side. Both showed up morning the loss of their "loved one".

So, after a massive effort to drill an escape tunnel, everything is in place to bring the 40+ miners to the surface after being trapped for more than 2 months.

That's 33, plus 3 med techs that were sent down in the rescue capsule today.

As of right now, 4 are on top, and the cage is going back down again.

I just talked to a friend who is an underground miner- big 260 lb jacklegger nearly in tears. He's ecstatic.

They are up to 13 or 14 now. They were almost 1/2 a mile underground!

I was thinking earlier, it would be a bit weird for the last guy out. He'd have to sit down there by myself for a little while.

Last miner out 16:56 Alaska Std Time.

There are 3 techs (in black) correction: 4
and 2 support workers (in orange) still down in the hole; apparently they went down there sometime this morning.

70 days- the longest anyone has been trapped in a mining collapse and survived in history.

and 17 days with no contact from the outside and very little food. It is well worth a read of the rescue.
