Personally, I am not a fan of the Confer mounts. Nor do I like the look of the Blitz holders.

The weak point is the clamp to the can at the handle point. I have lost a couple of cans where the handle weld has broken.

I don't have a problem with the bottom portion where the ridge is held in the clamp. The failure point is where the upper part clamps to the can handle.

My solution has been to run a Velcro strap around the can and mount to keep vibration stresses to a minimum.

Whether the Blitz or Confer mount, the issue is to secure the can in place. That is where the Velcro strap is necessary.
