Does these rims fit over my manual hubs? I believe these alloy rims have bs=4.75"?

I have found a set of 235/85r16 commercial t/a traction studded winter tires but no rims to go with...(currently running 15" rim w/ 3.75"bs on 33x9.5)

Wheels should fit but the center caps will need to be modified or left off up front if you have manual hubs.

Yes .. but front center cap will be an issue , as it wont fit over the front hub (as above©)

The guy got back to me:

1. 106 mm (bore)
2. 4 5/8 (backspace) 15mm (offset)
3. 7" width

I'm in Mtl & my truck is on the other side of the continent.

Does that 106mm pass my manual hub at all? I do recall off my head that stock rim bore is around 4.25" (108mm?). If so, it's too bad it might not fit at all?

I am careless with the center cap.

Is 3rd gen truck rim hub or stud centric?
what about those 96' & up?

I'm thinking they're lug-centric for the newer stuff. A good tire shop should know. DO take the time to ask. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

You might also have to get a different set of lugnuts. A quick check on that will tell you. I had to do that for my spare rims and winter steelies for my '99 4R and '04 Taco.

'96 and newer are lug centric. [edit: I'm wrong - they've got to be hub centric with the shoulder lug nuts.] The lug nuts must be flat "shoulder" mag style lug nuts. Not cheap from the dealer, but there are aftermarket possibilities too.

There's plenty of room for a manual hub, but it looks a little weird with too much room around the hub when you just leave the plastic center cap off (like I do). Works fine that way though. That's what Erik meant about possibly modifying them like drilling a hole in the plastic center cap so it doesn't look strange around the manual hub. Depends a little on which kind of alloy wheel from that generation, since there's a few.

'96 and newer are usually described as either 4 3/8" or 4.5" backspacing.

I see in your link that the original owner painted them a bronze color. The paint seems to be thin or wearing off in places.

As I understand it, up to '95 were lug centric (you can see the gap between the hub and the wheel center hole (see red arrow below), so only the lug nuts center the wheel:
[Linked Image]

The '96 and later are hub centric, where the wheel fits over the hub snugly and that locates it.
