I guess it's true, old cowboys never die, they just smell that way, if you can tell that smell from the south end of a north bound cow!
I haven't really died. But, I had to give up driving the Monty for a horse.
Now, Grandma Laura and I have decided to pull up stakes here in Texas and head for West Viginia (did I just say that?!?!?!) Seriously, though, we have a daughter that has just started her emergency medicine residency and had her first child within the same month period. Granny is there now just waiting for me to get things packed up and over there.
Now, the time has come to part with my old friend. Monty Montero (91 Gen I, 200K on original drivetrain, auto, driver's bouncy seat, etc., etc.)
I don't have the time, energy nor the heart to part him out. But, I'm willing to let him go to somebody that will appreciate what they will get for a good price.
Some of you in CA and WA will remember him.
He sits here in our driveway and gets started once in a blue moon. His battery is dead but he always starts within the first 3-4 seconds being jumped. He burns some oil (if I had 200K on me I'd burn oil too!) He has a set of BFG MT KMs that are in good shape.
IF somebody is interested shoot me an email at
Bill@Mattsonclan.com and we'll discuss price. But trust me we're not going to be talking mega bucks here. I'm thinking around $1K but that's negotible. Let me hear from some of you guys that appreciate fine, old iron.
