Hey guys... just put my lights back in, for a few minutes the driver side headlamp worked fine, now only the high beam works. I switched with new bulbs and still the same thing... only highbeam. Passenger side works fine. What could cause this?

Try checking the voltage at the back of the connector and see what it tells you:

You could check the battery-common voltage and the low-ground voltage and if either reads significant, then that is the bad connection.

I checked the voltages they look good.
I was having a problem finding a good ground when in low beam however....?

Well the head lights are switched ground, meaning the low beam terminal has a ground switched via the column dimmer (combo) switch. So if you do not see close to 0 volts at that terminal in low beam mode, that is your problem. In this case, 0 volts = good, 12 volts (or anything over 0.5 volts) = bad.

the wire corroded off where it clamps the plug, but didn't pull out because the wire wrap holder still held it in.
Pulled it all apart and soldered it back together, works like new.

I know you fixed it, but also there is a fuse for each headlight. I ran across this myself.

Yup, popped those last year in the winter (oops?) then neither hi or low will work.
If it's either high or low not working... check the plugs!

Cheers,
Greg

Mine was weird....the headlight worked but was VERY dim...swapped it out and still dim. Replaced the blown fuse and all was good.

That's really weird... almost like the fuse still had a slight connection....
