Well after a friend of mine hopped on to the engine and looked back behind it he found the hose it had fallen off or was taken off at sometime in its life maybe while work was done to it but its been that way for at least 4 years or so. anyways after putting it back on it runs as smooth as a swiss watch.. no more bucking at hills smooth idle just great. but i need some advice as its getting cold and it sits over night it does not want to start takes like 4 times and putting the gas into it abit to get it started . after its started its fine . if you go somewhere then get in to restart it .it starts right up also. Not sure whats up there. battery is fine i was wondering if its my idle control valve that i bought used that i did not need that might be doing it. thanks guys for all the help...

ECU ECT sender is bad, probably. Look for a 2wire sender with contacts in the shape of a T.

Yes indeedy <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

The one listed at NAPAonline.com doesn't look right, but I've not done a CTS on a 3.5 SR yet, so it could be correct. The description he gave for the CTS (2 pins in T formation, usually coming straight forward near the turdmostat) is correct for a 3.0. Not sure if that's right for your 3.5. Maybe he'll chime in and clarify. I don't have ASA on this Netbook yet or I'd check myself. It definitely sounds like a viable culprit, and pretty inexpensive for a SWAG part toss.

Here's the NAPA page.

Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

Well local branch said it should fit a 3.5 . and if it does not bring it back. will be in Tuesday.. Love my local NAPA store. now is there a procedure to take this out and put it back. manual shows where it is on my motor but zero on anything else.

A little bit of Teflon tape will suffice.

it is for sure the fuel pressure regulator vac hose

once i took mine for a spark plug change and when i got it back I took a look around for any shortcut he may have taken and i found this port the same as yours....

i took a deep look around and found the end of the vac hose sitting on top of the trans... it was the Blue stripped hose

I just got it (with a lot of time, it was sooo tight there) and reconnect it back
