FE, I would guess this 'normally' wouldn't happen with the stock cig plug wiring unless you've severely overloaded it (isn't there a fuse for this?) or the heat damage was caused externally by what was plugged into it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
