That's true & a good point. Someone mentioned that to me also when I was looking for a fix. Here was my thinking... 1) My monty has >230k miles. 2) Switch was $40. 3) Replacing the switch was very simple to do. Knowing what I know now, I'm sure I could do it in <10 min. 4) Either the switch or the relay could fail, as could any of the new wires/connectors I'd have to add if I did this mod. Would it last as long as the stock switch which is easy to replace? Is it a worthwhile mod? In my case, I elected to go with just a new switch.
I felt replacing the switch was the path of least resistance and the simpler solution but YMMV & that's why I posted my train of thought... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cyclops.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
