Look at the mounting for the diff carrier. There are about 4 bolts holding it up. IIRC, we took 2 of them loose and the diff rotated down and forward out of the way. Don't remember if the dshaft came out of the tcase, but don't think so. It's the oil pickup getting in the way of getting it off now. When you reinstall, make sure you use a med heavy smear of rtv at the corners of the pan gasket area front and rear - hard to seal with a gasket there. Also, the pan bolt holes will be pulled inward by the old bolt torque, and prevent a good gasket pressure unless you wham the holes outward with something like the slightly rounded end of a half inch extension, with a piece of 2x4 supporting the pan lip. The factory seal goop works well, but a good rubber or cork gasket is nice insurance.

I'm not looking at one but I suspect there's a cross member in the way? My guess is, you probably have to support the engine from above using an engine hoist then remove the cross member to get the oil pan off.

Last I looked the motor mounts are not part of the cross member. I just removed the crossmember and jacked the motor up a bit from the front pulley.
