I've always thought that Springsteen's "Born to Run" should be the background for all US car test videos...

I just watched the tail end of an episode. The only guy I think makes a decent host is the comedian Adam Ferarra. The other two just don't have chemistry or the comedic feel like the UK cast does. Although I remember from earlier seasons of the UK topgear it took a season or two for their personality's to mingle properly.

That's good to hear. I just hope there's enough patience with the fickle American audience that they'll last long enough to gel.

unfortunately the show will probably tank a bit and likely be ¿gifted¿ money from someone like ford or gmc and turn into the typical American automotive tv show and suck.

Watched it late last night. The gullwing Mercedes & the ford pickup were both nice... drool.

But more importantly, there will be an alternative if TG US fails...

Watched 3 episodes now, the first one was terrible, resembled a cheap Chinese knock-off of the original. The last two have gotten better, but still seem like retreads of already aired TG shows, but for those who haven't been watching TG UK, it might seem original. I think the cast either needs to smoke/drink up before the show starts, or they need to find some better personalities, that are more comfortable at insulting each other.

Since it is on the History channel it doesn't have to garner a large TV audience to be successful, so maybe it will be on long enough to get the kinks worked out. Then again with it on the History channel(and not having any historical relevance) it may not get enough many viewers at all, I think Speed, Spike, would have been a better choice.

Since I posted a bad comment on the show, I'll say it is sort of growing on me.
