Hi again. Hmmmm? what will these things cruse at on the highway, what does yours do? I have seen top speeds at 90 and 95, speedometer looks like 125 mph, is that just for show? What would a 89 V-6 5 speed be expected to do on the highway? Thanks again....

Hmmm 3rd post and you're asking how fast can you go? How old are you?

I'm not proud of it but I've driven well over the limit (115mph) with my old 90 4 door v6 auto. Cop pulled me right over. He was impressed it could move that fast but I had to talk myself out of going to Jail. Is that what you're hoping to do?

That said, most speedo's show speeds greater than what the vehicle is safely capable of driving. Most driver's reaction times, skills, and their vehicles are not set up for those kinds of speeds. Someone driving at 90-95 is more than fast enough and driving fast in them is definitely not encouraged and is actually frowned upon unless you're off road or on a race course where nobody else can get hurt or will have to pay for someone else's stupidity.

OK, I'm off my soapbox now. Yes they can drive faster than 90-95. Have you done a good old tune up recently? Perhaps your air filter has some blockage not allowing the full volume of air it's capable of filtering into the engine?

Speaking of the engine what condition is it in besides plugs, wires, distributor cap/rotor & air filter? Perhaps one of the pistons isn't at full compression? Wouldn't be surprising with your vehicle's mileage that it may need some additional TLC depending on the prior owner(s).
