Questions and requests are great

See my post earlier in this thread - "I just want to see some pics of it off-road somewhere, along with some good close-up shots of the suspension and steering. How well does it work? What kind of articulation does it have? How does it ride with leafs in the rear?"

There are the questions and requests that you are welcoming, but I haven't seen a response or answer to any of them yet. A timely response to my valid questions and requests would go a long way towards improving the image that you have fostered within this forum.

Yes the power rack comes with the kit. As for being tooo large of a lift. A seven inch kit could be made. the pic with the idler was taken the day before i installed the rack. Questions and requests are great, but why look down on me when i am trying to help the montero world move forward.

Let me state this clearly and without any form of ridicule so you know I'm being sincere about this.

Nobody was looking down on you personally but you sure began taking it as such. Everyone IS questioning your design (rightly so) since its difficult to make heads or tails of it from the poor pictures you've provided.

Come on man... do you really think you can sell someone a $1900 lift kit and only post very poor pictures of an obviously incomplete non-functional build and not provide any proof whatsoever of it working?

If you're serious about this let's see pics where it's functional. Being so close to the Sierra's there are lots of places you can drive it to and have pictures taken. I don't mean poor camera phone pics either but decent pictures using at least a point and shoot camera if not a DSLR.

We need to see the suspension articulation, fender clearance, driveline extension, etc. Video would be better but I know that's not always easy. Heck, at least drive it to the back of a local grocery store and use their loading dock ramp to show us the articulation/suspension flex.

I told you from the very beginning when I offered to come by and look at it that you need to prove this to everyone you're selling it to. Since you're not a known suspension fabricator/company your customers will simply believe you're selling smoke and mirrors until they can see this proof and that's the bottom line.

I can guarantee if you post up functional pics the entire direction of this thread will change. They may still question the suspension design but we'll at least know that you're for real.

All that said, at this point even I am obviously doubting the validity of your claims but I welcome, even challenge you to prove me wrong and show us either decent pics of the lift setup or an animated gif or video of it in action.

Now also realize others may still call into question your design, after seeing further pictures even being insulting about it. As a seller, it's up to you to prove them wrong otherwise, nobody who's seen & believes their concerns will buy it.

HTH.

He is not a salesman or a photographer. He also shows no online social skills. This does not mean he can not build. His pics do not show if he can or not and do not prove or promote the product. If anything the pictures provided are kind of frightening without knowing what is behind the main drop bracket that we can see. So maybe there is a person nearer to him then Ray that could check his product out. This person may also be able to check out his real life persona rather then his online one. Many times on this forum people have been at each others throats on here but get along great when they are not behind a keyboard. For now though he may be better off not posting anything else until he has some of the pictures requested on here.

Do you know ANYBODY you can take with you who has a decent camera? A thousand megapixel camera phone is not going to take as good a picture as my 10-year-old Sony 4MP with a real nice lens (Carl Zeiss).

I don't get a lot of this 'marketing effort' either. I also am in sales, and have been for over 24 years. I have to describe my product, turn features into benefits, provide specifications, answer questions, etc. I have to admit when my products cannot be used for a particular purpose, just as I have to specify when and where they should be used. View questions as opportunities to make sure people are comfortable with what you are selling.

Start with a "what's included," and be specific. Lay ALL the parts out and take a (good) picture. What is it made out of, i.e., what kind of steel? Tell us the assembly procedure and what the kit does and does not fix. What does the end user have to do after it's all put together (alignment?) How long will it take someone to install it? Will the end user have to supply anything not included in the kit?

How many hours over the road has this been tested, and with what tires, shocks, alignment specs? How has it been trail tested? What might cause this to fail? Is it stronger than the parts it bolts on to?

Enough questions? As FastEddy says: Inspire me. MAKE us WANT to buy this, as if it's the end-all-be-all...we can't wait to get it.

So long as they're clear (unlike the 3 pics you've posted) and we can see it action that could go a long way to proving the kit is worth the $.

But don't be surprised if your pics illicit even more questions... That's a good thing actually. The key here is to generate interest and that can't be done without us believing you might have a viable kit.
