The doors and their guts are the same. The SWB has only 2 switches in the group versus 4 for the LWB. You could wire up the extra positions for various intermittent things like singularity cannon, oil squirters, laser weapons, and missile firing circuits. Oh, and you have to say 'missile' like Sean Connery did in Hunt for Red October, cause it's just so cool.

So again, all we're talking about is the pressboard panel being different. The oil squirter, smoke sreen, caltrops, night vision camera, rear spot lights, etc. controls sit better in a overhead console.

And I always yell "Missle!!" just at the point when my wife and and I...um....right: family friendly forum.

Yes, press board panel has a different hole.

Now you have the Beavis and Butthead voices in my head...

"He said, "hole"... Thanks...

years ago I damaged my door. My donor door was from a Raider with electric windows. The manual parts would not fit in the electric door until I drilled out some welds for a extra plate the electric guts were mounted to. So unless you can take the doors home with you and weld in the plates I think you are screwed.

I have spare motors and scissor mechanisms from an 89 LWB part out i did a few years back if you find 1 missing or bad, dont let it deter you from the project. I also keep switches.

I think Russell may have spares too, again jsut in case you find 1 or 2 motors bad, etc.
