As of last week, I've ended my career as a sewerrat in California. After 20 years of human waste, it's time for something different. Next week I start school for a new career as a transportation and logistics engineer (truck driver).

During the last several years, I've had the privilege of accompanying the California group on several trips. Always welcomed with good cheer, an adult beverage, breakfast Spam sandwiches, and some excellent sausage (the grilling kind you pervs). It may be quite some time before I can make it out that way for wheeling. I'll miss backing out of trips at the last minute. Just have to say thanks. Hope to someday ride with any of you again. Maybe Moab?

Not selling the Monteros, not leaving the wire. Not real sure where the road will lead, other than there will hopefully be a lot of it. I'm broke and it's time to have a real job.

For the rest of the country, watch out. There will be a newbie CDL driver on the road. That and you never know when a Sewerrat will show up at one of your runs to drink your beer and eat your food!

Until then,

Shoot Clay aka 52degrees a PM and tell him what you're up to. He started driving this last year as well.

Congrats on the new career, brother. I've never met you in person, but I hope to someday. I need to make good on that part you sent me a while back. I don't forget kindness (or $hit-headedness), and I'm always looking to make good for it. Please let me know if there's ever a way I can return the favor!

Unfortunately the species you will encounter above ground are several evolutionary steps short of the ones you will have been used to in the sewers.

Best of luck

Best of luck to you Bob and you're always welcome to ride along with Ray on one of our adventures if you dare.

Thanks you guys and gal. I prefer to think of it as expanding my territory rather than going away. Will be trying to stay out west, but will go wherever the best opportunities are to be had. Who knows, ya might be seeing me sooner than later.

Grasscat, I've owed you that steak for how many years now? You could always get a beer from Oyaji Jon, but then IIRC, I had promised Tri-Tip! One of these days.
