Anyone done a 4.6 swap? Just curious, the heads might be too big I know the one my mustang is massive.

Wow haven't seen you here in years.

That motor is absolutely massive... just pulled one out of a mark VIII for my cousins project truck... it will be very, very tight... and sheetmetal will probably need to be "persuaded" <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Haven't seen one done. Might want to check pirate.

I'm going to say that it will never clear the steering shaft - too wide.

I do not know a lot about Ford engines and the differencs in them. I had a friend that swapped in a 5.0 in an 83 and it was a tight fit, but he did it. There use to be a write-up on it in the tech section on PBB. I will look and see if I can find the link.

Yea I'm batting around the idea of picking up a 3.0 truck when in Texas this spring and doing a 5.0 swap. I'd rather keep the toyota tranny etc. Is there a bell housing that will work for this?
