Getting us back on subject. Justice- I must have missed it but you have an arb air locker for your front diff? If so how much do you like it compared to the price? Nice mud hole. When you going to do more to El gato?

Yea put in the front locker before my trip to Dusy last summer. Its the same front ARB that I had in my 95 before I sold it to johnny B. There is really no way to describe it, but if you have it, you wonder how you got along without it. I'm really glad I put it in before the Dusy trip. That along wth the aussie gears really take the rig to another level. Me and Dirtdriver were able to tackle stuff that only the big dollar modded jeeps and rock buggies were. Very worth it to me and I like the fact that I can turn it off when I dont need it...Being able to do your own install helps with saving some $$$.

El Gato? I'm going to do up some sliders for him soon and then better armor for the gas tank and t case. Maybe a front locker...We'll see where it goes. Hard to budget mods for two rigs and El Gato is more of a touring rig that can tackle tough trails, but the 89 is for the hardcore stuff.

I'm pretty sure you DON'T want Justice up your ass. He spends too much of his time in combative situations (Thanks bro) so I imagine he is very good at it.

No problem. Just can't tell that when you don't use a smiley.

Yeah, we're a tight knit group with a mimimum level of decorum. Don't worry, you're still just as welcome to join us (so long as Chris Matthews hasn't invited you onto one of those episodes ).

Christmas Eve I installed a new idler arm and upper ball joints, then put close to 2,000 miles or so on it round trip to the great north east and back from Christmas through new years. She got lots of attention from me, including several car washes and many tanks of gas. No issues that I was worried about but I'll still be doing some major preventive maintenance to the engine/trans:

First week in february, she'll be laid up to have the engine taken out for it's 118k mile tune up - it's coming out due to a leaky rear main seal, and I believe the previous owner may have slightly overheated it with a stuck thermostat so for precaution and just to run through the engine in general, here's what I'm doing:

- Replace rear main & front seal,
- Timing belt, timing belt pulleys & tensioner
- Water-pump
- Head Gasket, Bolts and all the other gaskets
- Clean and flow test injectors
- PCV valve
- Pull oil pan and check crank & Rod bearing clearances (although there's likely no issue)
- Belts & hoses, idler pulleys
- Radiator Servicing
- Spark plugs & wires
- Transmission Filter & fluid change

Did I forget anything? - It's going to be a fun week when that all goes down. Still have to put in my parts list to Mitsubishi for some specific seals and o-rings.

After all that's done - if I'm not in the poor house I hope to put a new set of rims & tires on it.

Might have my Isuzu pickup or my extra 1995 (non running) montero for sale soon.

I also added a SORBA sticker to replace some junk from the previous owner.. the OBX sticker wasn't coming off to clean so I left it.
