most 2.6 engine swaps aren't simple swaps unless you're putting in the same engine.

there's the 2.6 Turbo swap (from starion conquest) that requires installing and wiring the mitsu ECU or aftermarket engine management system.

there's the 4.3L chevy v6 from an s-10 blazer. No simple task. In addition to adding the engine management system you also need to fab engine mounts, and chevy tranny and mounts.

there are other more complex swaps in addition to these two.
