Where is that measured from? When I did my V6 front differential install I measured the V6 manual driveshaft from center to center of the 2 U-joints at 25 1/4". You can see the measurement in the link in my above post.

Sorry Phl - I measured from tip to tip... Since the shaft female side should be the same length on all shafts, isn't tip to tip the correct measurement? If not, just let me know so I can match your calculations for comparison... Thanks again Phl... You are a real life saver!

With the V6 diff swap you need a shorter shaft.

Hi Charlie, when I did the swap, it was internal only because everything mounted back the same way... I believe I used an 87 Starion LSD by putting the guts into my 4cly diff.

Hi Charlie, when I did the swap, it was internal only because everything mounted back the same way... I believe I used an 87 Starion LSD by putting the guts into my 4cly diff. The 87 Starion LSD wont fit the 4 cyl front chuck. The diff that does is from the early Starion with 4 lug wheels. That LSD is not a drop in and needs some custom fabricated parts to work. Kevin
87 Turbo Intercooled Raider, roller cam, torsen rear diff, LSD front diff, lockup auto with modified converter, V6 brakes, low transfer case gears...
