I realize the Raider is heavier than trackers and sammys but what would you classify it as a middle lightwieght? I think you missed my question however, I get they're good tires but why so big and wide? I get it in snow but tires that big and wide don't perform well at all up here. I guess I was just wondering why they do down there.
nevermind I just saw a picture of the mud fields you guys play in that are the size of the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium parking lot.

A montero is in the same size class as a Jeep Cherokee, Pathfinder, Explorer, Blazer, and Land Rover. Sammys and Trackers are slightly above go karts in size personally.

Honestly, I wanted the 38.5x11 but I couldn't find a good set for sale with 6 lug wheels. I found these 38.5x15 brand new with the right wheels, so I compromised. Pictures for picture thread, Mike's 5speed Gen2: ![[Linked Image]](http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd25/0778drz110/Hardrock/DSCF7770.jpg) Frank in some clay with bald tires, it was deep. I didn't dare try that stuff, I'm not sure if I could have gotten pulled out of there. ![[Linked Image]](http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd25/0778drz110/Hardrock/DSCF7772.jpg)

Actually the Cowboys stadium is the sze of the Florida Mud Bog fields. The big tires allow you to float over the mud better. Even with my "well-worn" tires I have been able to go thru puddles a couple of feet deep that the heeps have to fly across. Kind of funny watching the little thing just chug thru the mud.

A full size Monty would def be the same size as a cherokee etc. However he has a short wheel base Monty. If you classify a short wheel base in the same category as my p.o.s. Disco I'm forced to drive until I find one I'll be glad to trade you my monthly gas fuel bill. Cost me 70+ bucks today to fill it up and that wasn't premium.

A montero is in the same size class as a Jeep Cherokee, Pathfinder, Explorer, Blazer, and Land Rover. Sammys and Trackers are slightly above go karts in size personally. A Gen 1 2 door is 1/2" longer and the same width as a first gen Ford Bronco, a 4 door montero is only slightly smaller than a full size wagoneer 1" narrower track width and 1" shorter wheelbase. Now a montero sport is closer to cherokee, 4 runner and s10 blazer sizes and the only thing Montero that is samurai size is the Pajero mini. People at my shop always compare montero to a samurai for some reason

You're right, the LWB is closer to a Wagoneer. My Montero is still taller than my friends Cherokee and his has a 3 inch lift and mud tires. I was at a junkyard the other week and saw an original sammy sitting there, I almost thought I could fit it in the back of the Montero.
