Have they ever came up with a spout that didnt drip? When I was in we referred to them as donkey (richards) and even when new, the things leaked diesel. Very annoying.

Here's the other 'short' style 10L Jerry can... http://www.deutscheoptik.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=3&products_id=1967

Grasscat and I purchased 4 of the 20L cans from Deutsch Optik. Good company to deal with based on my experience. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Here's a better picture comparing the two.

I may end up sealing the other one, painting it a different color, and using it for water. Not that I really need ANOTHER water jug....

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Got the cap back from plating. Went with yellow zinc.

A completed before and after pic.

I had originally planned to use the regular spout. I got some strainer grade stainless steel mesh for the tip. I decided I was not willing to deal with the leaks.

Instead I went with a different solution. As a place holder I used a PVC cap cap and attached a nipple for some hose. This is just a temporary solution but it if works well I may just keep it. The hose may be a bit long. I epoxied some of that same mesh to the cap to screen out any particles from entering the tank.

For future reference to anyone with with type of jerry can, the threads for the spout/cap are 2" NPT
