yes but god takes care of his children if we had been in a car or truck i think we would be burying 3 tommrow instaed of our son we will survive just want you guys to know how they hold up when hit really hard

Dang man. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />:( Glad it did not turn out any worse. Looks like your truck did a most excellent job of protecting the contents.
Any recourse against the trucker?
This is not the first "montero saved my life " post. I think these trucks have a good track record for crash safety.

Im sorry for your loss. Wow, if you were in most other vehicles I dont think you would be posting here anymore. So what are the injuries if you dont mind me asking? Were the emergency workers surprised to see someone survived the crash?
I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

as of right now hes charged with failure to control speed but will probly be charged with man slaugter also because the baby was 34 weeks to term wich means it was a viable baby that means could have lived out side the wounb

my injuries was as follows i was in the passger seat torn rotor cup blunt forces trama to my stomach and chest from seat belt contusions to my knees as for my fiance she suffered ripped spleen severed itesting bruised kiddneys ruptured liver and lost the baby they say he lost blood flow on impact died in a materof moment from what the corner said

That's a horrid wreck and I feel sorry for your loss. I am just glad your Montero was able to sacrifice itself to keep you and your fiance alive. I remember a few months ago a forum member posted about being in a head on with a F350 and surviving. Better built vehicles don't just perform better, they protect better as well.

My heart goes out to you and your loose... And to all those invallved in the wreck ... This is why my famliy does not drive small cars .. And people wonder why some of my vehicles have rollcages in them ..
