So quiet in here lately. I've parked the Paj until it either warms up, or my work place changes the timer on the block heater outlets so they run more than 15 minutes an hour.
Paj is leaking coolant again, don't know where from. Might be the rad repair didn't take.
No mods or purchases for the truck so far this year.

Been driving my AWD Galant all fall/winter, with a trip in the Paj now and then for fun. But last night I put the c-tek charger on it, and plugged in the oil pan heater. Today I swept the snow off, drove it out of the drift it was in next to the garage, and brought it inside. Tomorrow? We're going wheeling in the snow!! Yee haw!! Pics to follow!
No new mods lately, but I do have a locker in my garage that I have to get working on putting into the truck...

Ripping back into finishing the new oilpan this tuesday, start in on motor mounts sometime after, finish the flywheel modification inbetween that. Then it's dropping $$$ for seals, gaskets, thermostat, etc. In the end, she be a Mitsucedes-Benz.

I am enjoying my second Pajero. Measured consumption for first full fuel tank - 13,41 L/100 km in the city which is not bad but more what I got from my first Pajero 9,6 L/100 km.
Put K&N air filter, changed oil with full synth Shell Rotella 5W40 by myself. I know it is nothing for majority here but for me it was an achievement
Planning to shut down EGR valve and put an oil catching bottle...
Good luck!

I've got a build thread here I update along with my main thread on HRCS and the thread at STD, here's the link in case anyone's missed it. Hopefully I can keep my sanity till it's done!

Just before Christmas the Bendix finaly gave out on the Grinding starting ring. New ring was order and arrived last Monday. $280
Francisco dropped the tranny, took out the old plate which had the old ring. Also the bearing on the starter was toast from hitting the rounded gears..
Went to go see him Friday and the new ring was welded on the old plate and the starter was as good as new.
Everything goes back together for Monday or Tues..
He mentioned that there was a little weep from the water pump so I will order up a rebuilt pump and new timing kit in the next week. Probably swap out the pump and belts in the next 2 or 3 months..(@ 175K/km) I am at 165K/km now..
On the Gov side I received a letter that they do not like my VIN on record .. Have to bring all of the original import papers to the lic office apparently..
Year #6 in Canada starts for the ol' girl Feb 6...

this winter has killed my pajero. the insane freezing temperatures destroyed my batteries, my fuel leak has turned into a waterfall, and I think the starter is toast so needless to say it is parked and I bought a 1989 2.6L 2wd Ram 50 for $1500, 180,000km and not a speck of rust, door ding, chip or scratch, its MINT!!! I'm back running a good ol' G54B, been 5 years since I had this engine and boy I missed that LOW RPM TORQUE!!! Long term goal is find another 4D56 to put in it, lower the truck 5" in the front and 7" in the back, swap out the 4.62 diff for a 3.90, massive front mount intercooler, crank the boost and drive it like a race car. makes me sad I sold the spare diesel engine I once had

It's been a long time.
We miss our first Paj. To this day, it's our more memorable JDM.
Still sporting the Nissan Safari. It's an amazing machine. I just can't break it.
