My assistant manager went to look at that truck on Saturday, not realizing the V6 wasn't available until 1989. He said he was ready to buy it until he opened the hood and saw the 2.6L. He drove it anyway and found it to be running oily rich at cold idle, but cleaned up once warm. It was reportedly sluggish on the highway.

While the 2.6L trucks aren't the most powerful vehicles, it sounds like it may have a carburetor issue. He said the tires appeared oversized, but he didn't look to see what size they were. That could also contribute to a sense of sluggishness since he isn't very familiar with the trucks.

He said the paint and interior are in excellent condition. Mileage is about 126K and it has an A/T.

There is another one in Franklin, NC on C/L that you could look at if you were to make a road trip:

and another in Easley, SC:

I don't know anything about the last two and $3800 is more than I'd pay for one (except mine <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />), but if you check the listings on C/L and Trader, you can probably find enough possibilities to make a road trip worthwhile.
