The 3.0 12v CR is 8.9:1, too high for much turbo action on a 2v/cyl engine. You will have to fab up an exhaust manifold and some way to get the dside exhaust flow to the turbo. You can not use the 3.0T exhaust mani because it fits the oval port 4v motor. Unless, of course, you use the 24v heads, which presents ignition problems, since there is not a dizzy drive on that head.

ok well right now im gonna replace the fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, and im gonna change the oil since its due. Can the catalytic converter be plugged because of the leaky seals. I have to replace the muffler cause there is something broken in it. Also i brought this up before, While under load climbing hills. My engine makes a chattering noise and it only happens when im climbing a hill or under load. I dont even know where to start on that problem. Maybe a loose lifter? Idk
And maybe for the engine swap, Ill find a 3.0 l vr4 engine since it will be the easiest swap and i think it should have no problems bolting on to my drive train. It wont be for a while till i get the money to buy one so ill wait it out for a while.

You sound like your on the right track. Tune up parts for these engines are cheap, so I would start there. Cap, rotor, wires, plugs. Also Make sure your timing is good to go. One time My distributer adjustment bolt was loose and the engine timing reterded itself untill my power was in the crapper...When I figured it out and fixed it, it felt like i installed a supercharger <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> Once ttune up is done I suggest you install a ney o2 sensor if your still runing the OG one..makes a big difference too.

Thanks justice. Have you ever had the ticking or rattle when the engine is under stress? Its bothering me and its kind of scary. It sounds like a lifter or something.

ok i checked everything for maintenance wise and all i have to do is a oil change. I haven't found the reason why the engine makes noise but i might pull the valve covers off and check the valves. If i had a stem seal leak would my spark plugs show it with burnt oil?.
My timing was off by 6 degrees and adjusted it properly. I still have a rough idle and I'm not sure what causing it.
I found out that my air filter was pretty dirty and had water on it due to my last trip offroading. So im gonna change it tomorrow and see how my fuel mileage changed.
Justice, how big of a difference did you notice with the new o2 sensor?

ok i checked everything for maintenance wise and all i have to do is a oil change. When was the last time the plugs/wires/cap/rotor were replaced? Have you checked the condition of the plugs? I have found on multiple different vehicles that installing a set of ND or NGK Iridium plugs makes a big difference in how well the vehicle runs. Throw some Magnecor wires on there also & you'll find out just how miserable the cheap wires from AutoZone really are.

the rotor cap wires are all new and only have like 8000 miles on them so far. I bought a tune up kit when i swapped motors out so they should be fine. I checked them today and adjusted the timing and noticed a little more power coming out of it. now all i have to do is do the muffler, CAT, O2 sensor, and some minor things. I just found out that i have a leaking power steering box and im probably gonna replace that. I think it cost around 300 dollars for a new replacement.
What can cause pull to the right when im driving. I just had my wheels aligned and im still getting a pull to the right. I replace the rotors and did the brakes. I had this problem before i done the brakes. when i drive forward to goes right. When i brake, it stops straight and when i go backwards, its the opposite.

Swap your front tires side to side and see if that changes anything - if it stays the same then the alignment shop didn't do a very good job on your alignment.
