I've wanted to do this for a long time. I yanked the cladding and started messing around with camo patterns.

bye bye cladding

hello camo sample.

I'm using these three colors for a base then I'll cut out stencils of various splotches and paint black splotches last. I wanted to include some of the white like a snow-woodland camo pattern but it just looked un-finished so its getting the full US ARMY vehicle camo. I like it better already.

I'll post up more shots when its finished....I'm installing the body lift too . Tax return=tires(33s/35s????)

I camo'd two vehicles, a Postal Jeep in winter camo and my 77 Dodge 1-ton 4x4 with walk in service body in midnight metro/winter. Are you going to use those Enkei wheels painted up, too?

I like the CARC colors, easier on the eye than the sharp, shiny paints I used.

No I'll buy black steel wheels before I paint up nice alloy wheels.

I'm red-neck but not that re-neck.

I've seriously considered what my 96 might look like with a digital desert camo pattern.

Have you considered copying an existing camo scheme onto your rig? Might be easier than designing it from scratch...

Stony why wouldn't you camo a Montero? Monteros are kind of utilitarian and military looking anyway so camo, olive drab or desert tan seems perfect to me.

Ray. I am copying the pattern off of a set of Army BDUs Woodland camo. There are three base colors,Olive drab, woodland tan, woodland brown then the matte black splotches span over all the base colors. [Linked Image]

I thought about digiflage but that would be insane.....I've seen a few rifles Duracoated in digi and it looks sweet but an entire truck would be ridiculously time consuming.

I just need a sunny day and some masking tape and I'll be good to hook.

Chris, it's not that I think it won't be cool. Just that I'd personally be chicken [censored] to attempt it myself

Good choice on the camo pattern. That's what I wore for 5 years, so to me it's the REAL camo

I thought about digi-snow but its a PITA and the woodland break up will be more functional.
