The rear outside handle to my rear door stopped working. I have to open the door from the inside latch. I remember the same thing happening to my 95SR but cant remember how I fix it. Anybody fixed this before? Couldn't find anything with a search.

Not sure about your case but my 95's, used to stick on occasion. The mechanism gets dusty and does not like to return to the normal position. If the part of the handle that you pull on is loose like when you pull on it there is no spring resistance, you might have the same problem. An open palm strike just above the handle sometimes jarrs it loose. Take the inside door panel off and blow out with air, and then lubricate the mechanism.

ok I have the inside door panel off. The outside squeese handle isnt depressing the rod enough to unlock the latch. Where do I go from here. Also the outside squeeze handle is free with no resistance.

I clean and lubricated the spring. No change. Any needed to take off the outside handle? Or maybe a new spring?

Worn/missing bushings in the linkage? Any apparent loose spots in the linkage? Something is soaking up the motion before it gets to the latch.
