I am replacing my "Mikuni of unknown origin" (not for a 1984 Montero for sure), and installing a Weber 32/36 conversion. I read through all the old posts and have also purchased an Airtex inline pump and a Holley regulator to delete my mechanical fuel pump.

Is there anything else I need other than plugging the unused vacuum lines and wiring in the new pump?

I assume it is okay to leave the mechanical fuel pump disconnected without removing it and fabricating a plate?
