Justa guess:
After I got my new Rockcrawler wheels on my rig I ended up with the super loud whirling noise.
My Brake calipers were to large to clear the inner dimentions of the new wheels.
Even after grinding the calipers slightly by 1 Milimeter they still do that sound for the first 20 miles of breaking-in any new brake pads.

Look on the inside of the new rims you got to see if there is a tiny ring around them; indication of rubbing.
