After 4 hours of googling (not kidding), I found some info:

The blue wire is the constant power to charge the coil, the white and green wires get their signal from the ECU which sends pulses to the coil to make it fire. Looking at the front coil, the blue goes on the drivers side, the other on the passenger side. I did the same for the back coil, but around the other way because the coil is facing opposite to the front. After wrapping some electrical tape around the metal connectors and plugging the connections with some silicon, it's up and running.

After having a satisfying nights sleep, I agree with you about not mattering which way the connections go. A pity I didn't get your posts before I had wasted the time.
