It seemed that way. If I over-reacted, I apologize, as this is supposed to be a friendly board with adults.

I did not retorque the head, figured honestly to just drive this engine down to it's last, as the number of neglected maintenance items have been unaffordable for some time. The cylinder gasket has a leak to one of the combustion chambers, lots of billowy fog until warmed up and metals seal the gap a little. Yesterday to drive 17 miles required 2 gallons of water. Loss of power is appreciable and can only be moved now in Low, with very rough idle.

My plan is to remain here until next week, have my wife bring the GMC truck here, tow the Raider home, take a few days off to gather parts and repair what I can on the Raider. We're expecting lots of $$ from tax return and other source, but not until next week. Untimely is all this rain and my leaking RV roof, just the front corner over my bed. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Sorry.

For the roof, a caulk gun and a tube of roof tar will buy a lot of time. Find the actual leak from underneath (sprinkler will sub for rain in a pinch) and drive a nail upwards thru the leak to spot it for sure and seal from above with the tar...

My rv is 28 in 3 months. One of the overcab clearance light mounting screws pierced the plywood too deeply. The front left window seals are dried up. And the sheeting on the front left took a tree impact a few years before I received the truck. I have kept the front tarped, but makes no sense in 30 mph (45 mph gusts) wind to attempt replacing that tarp for the night. Wood is already rotten from past seepage.

Thanks for the tips though, trying to sell and will disclose to next owner.
